The pond with the Breidden Hill and Admiral Rodney's Pillar in the background

Located on the top of the prominent Breidden Hill at SJ29611392 this pond is accessed via the forest track leading up from the visitors car park opposite Criggion Church at SJ29531496. Follow the track right to the top of the hill avoiding all side tracks and footpaths, the pond is on your left and can be approached by a marked footpath on the left. There is a new large picnic table with surrounding benches next to the pond.  

 

Species which are commonly seen here include the Azure Damselfly, Blue-tailed Damselfly, Emerald Damselfly, Common Darter and Emperor Dragonfly
